The PRPC Prowlers High School Club Hockey Team played in the Mid West Thanksgiving High School Hockey Classic hosted by the Chiller Ice Rinks over the Thanksgiving weekend. The club was opened up to the Pataskala area in the 1999-2000 season and now have five members from the area on the team: JD Klinger, Jake Miller, Zach Wiard, Sean Straker, Ryan Straker, Andrew Painter and Erik Heinmiller are members of the Varsity Team. Cody Horn is the only Pataskala member on the JV Team.
The Varsity team finished the tournament 2-2 under the direction of coach Jay Catherine. They lost to Abbey Park of Ontario 8-2, and Montour High School of Pittsburgh 6-3 and beat Anthony Wayne of Toledo 9-3 and St. Charles 2-1. Erik Heinmiller was stationed at goalie during the 2-1 victory against St. Charles. The JV team won all three of the first round games securing them a spot in the Championship game where they went on to defeat Penn High School of Granger, Indiana 4-1 bringing home a first place trophy.
