Ice Prowler Hockey Logos and Jerseys

Ice Prowler Hockey has gone not only through several name changes in it's short history, but the face of Prowler Hockey has changed as well.

The first jersey for the 1998-1999 season had the team colors of purple, yellow and white to represent member schools Pickerington and Reynoldsburg High Schools. Pickerington/Reynoldsburg's 1st jersey's logo was designed by Pickerington student and player Kevin Delucia. The logo depicted a tiger (for the Pickerington High School Tigers) with a bandana, ear ring and patch over one eye with crossed hockey sticks under the figure (for the Reynoldsburg High School Raiders).

PR Hockey logoThe second Ice Prowler jersey was introduced in the 1999-2000 season for PRP (Pickerington/Reynoldsburg/Pataskala). This jersey simplified the team colors to purple, black and white and used the "PR" crest that was designed by Assistant Coach Steve Sherowski. This "PR" crest was used by the club from 1999-2004 despite the club's name change from PR hockey to PRP hockey with the addition of Pataskala, and eventually PRPC Hockey when Canal Winchester was added to the club.

A new jersey design was used for the 2002-2003 season, adding gray to the team colors of purple, black and white, and using the same "PR" crest on the chest. This was the uniform worn by both GCHSCHL Blue Jacket Cup Championship teams in 2003 and 2004.

PRPC Ice Prowlers logoThe current Ice Prowlers Hockey logo was designed by Assistant/Goaltending Coach Jay C. Catherine before the 2003-2004 season. The new logo was designed to represent the team's four participating schools at that time, while keeping close to the theme of Delucia's original logo. An adaptation of the Pickerington High School Tiger was the focal point of the logo (the school district represented by the most players). The Reynoldsburg High School Raiders are represented by the Raider's pirate hat and eye patch. The feathers hanging from the hat represent feathers from the logos of Pataskala's Watkins Memorial High School Warriors and the Canal Winchester High School Indians.

Pickerington High School split in the summer of 2003 into Pickerington Central and Pickerington North High Schools, and Groveport Madison Local School district was added to the club's list of member schools in the summer of 2004.

In 2004-2005, the club officially changed it's name to Ice Prowler Hockey. The team abandoned the "PR" logo on it's jerseys and the new Ice Prowler logo became the crest worn on both the team's home and away jerseys. With the start of the 2005-2006 season, the club expanded to include a junior varsity (JV) team participating in the Capital Hockey Conference Junior Varsity league (CHC-JV). The Prowler JV team wears the same uniform and Prowler crest on their sweaters as the varsity club team, expanding the Prowler presence in central Ohio high school hockey.
